    Finish on Accelerator cable clamp

    This is for a 73 SB;

    This bolts onto the carburator.
    I've looked at my original for at least 15 minutes. some parts of it look like natural, others (under the bolt) looks like zinc. Yet there appears to be a hint of green chromate.

    As I remember, it seemed to blend more into the carburator color.

    Steve, I am not sure what part you are asking about. Is it the clamp that bolts to the LH rear carb bolt or the clip on the forward end of the cable where it pop[s onto the swivel?

      Steve-----

      If you're referring to the GM #3921617 clamp, every example I've ever seen was zinc plated with no chromate overplate.

        This clamp is 3992386 in the AIM and stamped on the bracket and is attached to the left rear carb bolt along with the brake booster vac tube.

          Steve, This bracket is a grayish color with a slight sparkle to it on both cars. Probably is a grey phosphate.

            That's not a clamp; it's a BRACKET. Every one I've seen, including several NOS examples I have, are as Russ describes------gray phosphate.

              Joe, your right. I keep thinking it is a clamp because it clamps the cable.
              Black phosphate ii is.
              Thanks All
