Battery Wanted

Hi,
I'm looking for a correct original or a restoration battery for a '64. Dead preferably. I plan to use it as a shell as shown in the article in the current Restorer. If anyone has one for sale or knows of one that is available, please let me know.

Corvette Central sells a new lead/acid real tar-top battery for 62's (it's passed on a 63 for me) It comes without acid (you normally fill it yourself), so you could conceivably buy one and hollow it out without most of the mess described in the article. You've got to date it, but that's pretty easy.

The down side is the cost, $200 plus. I've got an old one of the CC batteries, pm me if you want it, but it won't be cheap to ship.
