C2 bumper questions

My 63 under a total restro , and am trying to come to a decision with the crappy bumpers, There are a GM replacement with the labels still attached, Waves galore and just looks like it maybe more work for the plating to make these bumpers look good.

Is it worth it to re-chrome them, or just install a repro set, I understand the repro ones are not bad, As some of the venders sell the ones made with the old GM tooling or new tooling. and knowing that the originals where made a little thicker steel.

Anyway would like your 2 cents on which way to go.

Ed, while at the National in Novi I heard mention that the C2 bumpers were now being made with the same thickness steel as the originals. Unfortunately, the person telling me could not recall who had them.

Hopefully someone can post here who has them as I need a set for the rear.

Paragon owns the GM dies, weld fixtures, and checking fixtures for the midyear front and rear bumpers.

Another option - find some good used ones and have chromed (best one)
