Did these frames have anything stenciled on them? I haven't read anything that indicates that. Any othrt marks? Also, my unit # 2468 has two serial # stamps side by side on the middle left rail. Nolands book says this didnt happen that much but I suspect it did. Is mine common? Thanks for the input folks.

Re: 1954 frame stenciling?
Looks like 303190 to me. On my car's frame, and I would expect on others too, there is a two digit suffix to the frame number.... no idea what that means.
Anyway, hope this helps.

Jim,
The two digit dash extension numbers are production job lot numbers.
