    1963 headlight limit switch questions

    Hello,

I'm installing a new headlight harness and have a couple of questions:
    1. The limit switch is installed with the oval hole on top. Correct?
    2. Which wire goes on the top and which goes on the bottom of the switch?
    A. Right (passenger) I have a short wire that is black/gray and a long wire that is black/white.
    B. Left (driver) I have a short "double" black/gray and a long black/white.
    3. Does anyone have any pic's on how the harness is supposed to be attached and run inside the nose? No clips....

    Thanks,

    Jerry

You can find that in the AIM.

The harness attaches by cable ties underneath inside the nose. You will find holes underneath near the light buckets that the ties will snap into.

The switches are ground interupters. I think the wires can be hooked to either terminal. When you secure the harness. The wire lengths should give you and indicator of the best wire for each lug.
