1962 3269S carb flange and ID tag dates?

Can a AFB 3269S carb with a flange stamping date code of BK1 (revision B, October 1961), have an ID tag with a date of April 1962? I would have expected the 2 dates to be very close.

What could the maximum date be, between the flange stamp, and the ID tag?

The reason I ask is I was at a swap meet and looked an unrestored (very bad looking carb), with that combination and it looked like it had been undisturbed for a long time.
