I think this one pictures says a lot.
This was Jacquies (my wife) first car, that I got her as a gift in 1985. She drove year round through Canadian winters (2x 30 pound bags of sand in back and mud&snow tires) until the frame gave up in 1997. She wanted her car back.
The car came off the road for a complete frame off restoration. Everything came off the car, tagged, bagged, on slot walls, separated front clip hung on ceiling. (A rear clip from denver, a restored 79 frame converted to a 77 ...).
On completion of the restoration the comments from the insurance appraiser really stood out as I had no idea what a "1" rating was before this. The mechanics who did the 4 wheel alignment felt they could eat off the underside of the car. Who needs a rotisserie
I could go on about details but many of you have been through this before so I won't bore you. The picture is taken at our inaugural shakedown run from Markham, Ontario to Margaritaville in Niagara Fall (her favourite place on the planet).
The car went back into service late April so this message is a bit overdue. Thanks to everyone who contributed. Thanks for the advise, the guidance, the patience.
