Agree with Donnally. Enlarged 400% and I see everything that I like to see on a pad. Plus it is hard to fake the patina

Mark, This is the only picture I have of this pad. If you look closely, there is a faint letter/number under the "Y".

My thoughts as well, the area in question is the right side, with what appears to be grinding marks and the faint stamp under the "Y"?

When you enlarge it, "the grind marks" look more like something was dropped on the pad. Based on the photos, I would have no problem buying a vehicle with that stamp. But.....sometimes photos and actual viewing are different...

If you look closely at the VIN you will see a double light strike of the pad just to the right. Plus I agree with Mark and Dick it just looks right.

Tell him to buy it and bring it around to a Regional or National. I would love to have that in my Advanced Judging Seminar. We need to get off of paint or frame stencils, for a change.

Most likely, if it is brought to a Regional or National, one of the posters here will be his stamp judge
