My question is, will the following situation give me a judging problem? I can redrill the fiberglass nose baffle and get the bracket I have already to work, or should I go ahead an go with the 56-59 version?
I bought a replacement radiator baffle support bracket that was listed as for 1960 (original was missing from the car when I bought it), but the holes that bolt to the fiberglass baffle in front of the radiator core support do not line up with the existing holes in the fiberglass baffle.
My car was a very early build for 60, i.e. mid-Nov 59 build so I think it might have still had the 59 version of the baffle. Please note in the picture below, the one on the top is the one I bought. The four holes along the bottom are what bolts to the fiberglass nose baffle. The two inner holes match up to the existing holes, but the outers are to wide.
The lower support in the photo is listed as a 56-59, and it looks like the two outer holes are inward enough that they should fit.
