Want to rebuild my 9 leaf spring. Does any one sell ( new ) the one "main" leaf that I can buy. Will this work, using new liners and the rest of the original leafs with a new stack bolt? Thanks, Carl

Re: 72 leaf spring:
You can mix leafs but be aware that repro springs are thicker.
I'm not aware of anyone that sells leaves seperately. I had to buy an entire assembled spring, then took out the leaves that I needed.Steve L

Same here Carl. I had to purchase an entire replacement spring only to utilize the main leaf with the rest of my restored original. The one great thing is that you will be very close to the previous "ride-height" of your original with an almost unnoticable gain in upward lift (a good thing). A pricy route to go but with positive results.- Top

'72 leaf spring
Carl,
I did the same thing. i got a repro 9-leaf spring from Eaton Detroit Spring and I only used the main leaf, along with my original leaves 2-9. The Eaton main leaf is slightly thicker than the original main leaf, so the resulting stack of new main leaf and old leaves 2-9 is thicker by the same, small amount.
