66 Hood Emblem - location help

Can someone with a 66 please let me know the dimensions of where the emblem is located in relation to the side and front of the hood. Locations A and B in the attached photo? Also, if you think yours is the original location please

So far I have checked two hoods and got 2 5/8" for measurement B, from the side edge of the hood to the emblem base on both of those hoods. However, one of the hoods measured 1 5/8" from the front edge of the hood to the emblem base (measurement A) and the other measured 2 1/4". I'm not sure if either was original, but a difference of 5/8" seems a lot.

I also found a reference in a thread that said measure A, from the front edge, was 2" and measurement B, from the side edge, was 2 1/6". I can't find and dimensions in the AIM

Check archives, I posted this same question before and received a nice diagram. Check under 66 template hood and side emblems.

Mine is 1 11/16" by 2 9/16"? The 1966 NCRS Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide does noy describe the exact location, other than "front left-corner of hood".
