At the very end of the video 2:44 I heard the girl say the fastest was 204.6 mph on the straight, (must have been for another "test" ZR1) and don't any of you folks try this. LOL. Beautiful automobile ! Wish I was there at Milford. Thanks.- Top

Yes she said that. She was referring to the ZR1 speed record on the "long straight" which they didn't lead us to. We got to go on the "short straight." I wonder why? That speed was set by "professional driver on a closed course" as they say, using a "stock" ZR1. That is their story and they are sticking to it.Terry- Top

Re: Video of one of ZR1 runs at Milford Sat.
There is a recent video of the ZR1 setting the 2nd fastest time ever at the 'Ring. That is exciting and convinced me to order a new one after 30 years of rejecting new Corvettes as not real Corvettes.

Same driver for the red ZR1 at the Grounds = Jim Mero.
That video of the ZR! run at The Ring was played at the Corvette Engineer's Seminar at Novi by Tadge Juechter, but the version he played had a g-force display that showed the level and direction. That car was over 1G most of the time. I think 183 was the top speed at the ring, btu I might have mised a "spurt."
BTW: That Engineer's Seminar had Dave McLellan, Dave Hill, and Tadge Juechter. What a kick to hear them all.Terry- Top

That would be this one Terry, of the latest run by Jim in a 2012 ZR1 with the new ZR1 Performance Package with the "Cup" tires (R compound), yes faster than the previous one I posted, and this is the one I thought I was posting.

Mike having each of "those guys" speaking about his part in the history of Corvette was a real thrill. I have heard each of them separately, but to have them together only left me missing the first Corvette Chief Engineer all the more. Talk about living history ....
And only in Motor City could we have those kinds of experiences. The Michigan chapter did one bang up job, and they worked their tails off at it.Terry- Top
