C1 heater flapper door

Looking to replace the heater Flapper Door in the outer heater box (the one that allows the fresh air in) due to the felt long gone

CC has a replacement part: http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb....Z5Z5Z50000050x

How do I get the old out? Just cut the shaft? Also anyone have experience over paragons blower motor rebuild vs Cc?

Jason,yes just cut shaft out to remove to install rather flimsy pewer metal repop, it works as original but not as durable looking. I got the flapper repair kit & decided to keep the original flapper in place sence it still was in fair shape, I robbed the felt off of repop & installed it on my original one. Was fairly easy with a butter knife(wife still does not know) to spread open the original one & push in the new felt by chasing with a pocket screw driver while keeping just enough of the slot open for insertion of new felt. You must not spread open the original one too much as to keep the original tention.Tops by shaft were really tight to slide in but worked out as doable. I think you would do better if you get some felt from fabric store & don't waist money on rending a repop useless & waisted $ ,although it made it easy to install as repop felt was pre cut .

As far as motor rebuilds, I did it & not really hard to do unless it is burnt up , I think you would be happy with Paragon or any one else.
