Please accept my apologies for what will prove to be a little redundant. I have searched that archives and believe I have some direction.
67 Coupe. All new harnesses. Original voltage regulator. Symptoms...............wild fluctuation while running. Ammeter responds to loads. When not running, ammeter responds to loads but not nearly as wild. The capacitor is there and connected properly.
Does this sound like a unit that has lost it's "viscous" fluid? I'd rather not buy a gauge for simple diagnotics while the expense of a gauge is not a concern.
In advance, thanks!
Tim
