Additional engine bay steering components finish question

I do not know the technical term but what is the correct finish for the round housing the column passes through. Also the finish on the metal plate just below the column that is attached to the brake booster box.

    Hi Steve,
I give a try on the bracket below the column.
If you're referring to the bracket asm. 3949076... on my 71 it's semi-flat black, similar to the other brackets and small parts in the engine compartment. It has a nice puddle of paint against one of the lips, so I'm thinking it was dipped.
I'd think it would be the same on your 70.
    Regards,
    Alan
