1970 interior convert top header panel

Hello all,

The interior top header trim panel on my '70 convertible has broken ears on both sides near were you lock/unloack the top. I'd like to replace this, BUT is it one of those parts "best to have an original part with flaws" or is the available replacement part (Paragon # 2186K, a GM licienced restoration part) spot on as far as being like the originals, or are they like most reproduction parts?

Tell you what.....why don't you go ahead and buy one from Paragon and report back on how the installation went. Actually I would buy the new one. I'm afraid the originals would be brittle from age.

Our newly tooled panels now feature machine finished pre-drilled holes and trim, which gives a more precise fit.

Don, are the ones you sell plastic or Fiberglas? The 1970-1972 JG says originals were Fiberglas.
