    Could someone tell me the procedure for taking the lock, (pushbutton) out of the door itself? Thanks,Brad.

      Brad, The outer escutcheon chrome ring unscrews counterclockwise from the lock cylinder. It's tricky, especially if it's corroded. Try using one of those thin rubber disc jar openers to get a better grip.
