I am installing my carb on my newly rebuilt 327/300 hp motor in my 1963. When I look at placing the gaskets (fiber, thick plastic spacer and thin metal gaskets) I see that the fiber and the plastic spacer gaskets have grooves that should match (I thought) the bottom on the carb.
While the channels on the bottom of the carb are in the rear of the carb, the plastic spacer gasket conforms with the shape of the intake manifold and those fit going towards the front of the carb.
Should the rear channels on the carb be different than the grooves in the gaskets which face front???
Thanks
