C2 1965 courtesty light switch wiring removal

OK, so I am in the process of removing the wiring from my 65 Roadster and I've run into a bit of a dilemna trying to get the wiring released from the door jamb courtesy light switch:

I have removed the nut from the rh door jamb courtesy light switch, pulled the switch out about 3 inches forward but I can't tell how to separate the wiring from the jamb switch:

does it pull/plug directly in/out (just pull on th wiring with needle nose pliers)

do you have to open the casing to release it

Does it go straight in or make an "L" turn like the housing does

I really didn't want to cut the wire loom if possible.

The terminal has a tang on one side that needs to be depressed with something thin. A straight dental pick will work(similar to a wire) Insert it from the switch end. Tab is usually to the outside of the plastic holder.
