The 1969 Corvette used engine mount # 3967767 as per the 1969 AIM (UPC 6, sheet B3). According to Chevrolet Parts History GM # 3967767 was replaced with GM # 3980701 in October 1969 which was then removed from service in July 1970. The 1969 Corvette production ended in December 1969 so I assume that late 1969 Corvettes possibly were issued the redesigned locking mount, GM # 3980701 (see photos of NOS 3980701 mounts). My 1969 Corvette Parts Catalog (effective September 1969) lists GM # 3980701 as the engine mount for the 1969 Corvette in Gr. 0.027 (page was revised 10-1-69).
I can only assume that the 3980701 mount was used in the 1970 Corvette production.
My 1972 Corvette Parts Catalog lists engine mount 3990916 for 1963-1972 Corvettes.
My 1979 Corvette Parts Catalog (June 1979) lists engine mount 6258154 for 1963-1980 Corvettes.
Does anyone know the difference between the 3980701, 3990916, and 6258154 engine mounts? All of these 3 mounts are the locking type.
