    vacuum advance hold down screw

I am replacing the vac adv on my 327/365 . I can't get to the bolts down screw on the distributor plate that holds the vac advance in place. Does the distributor base plate rotate to expose the screw ?

yes it does. if the old vac advance is still good just apply some vacuum and if not just push it with a screwdriver

I work on mine out of the car. Holding the distributor you can rotate advance plate enough to loosen the screws.
