What is the correct application for a #862 horn relay? What about a #890?

Dan,

You really should invest in some vintage Chevrolet parts catalogs or at several assembly manuals. It really makes this hobby more interesting. I certainly would not rely on the judging guides.
According to my research the 1115862 was used on 1968 and early 1969 models while the 1115890 was used on late 1969-1970 models.

My '69 (Oct. '68 build) has the original 862. The AIM shows a change to 890 but the page is so faded that I can't see the date of the design change.
