    69 undercoat

At what point was the undercoat applied on the assembly line? Before body drop, after body drop with body mount covers were installed? thanks Brad

I think is was a dealer cost added to make additional profit and not a factory production activity. I'm sure others will chim in here. There are other posts with extensive comments on the bast way to remove this under coating which is not correct for judging...Don

Brad, I believe that it was applied before the body drop, there were only a few spots that recieved undercoating, generally it was the upper wheel well areas, and the back splash sheilds, if the car had shoudler harnesses those mounting plates recieved some in that area. and that about it.

The factory-applied undercoat in the wheel wells (which was a sound deadener) was sprayed after the Final Bake oven, at the end of the blackout booth, after the blackout paint operation (at least it was during the C1 and C2 era).
