'69 blackout question

Was the hood attached to the body during blackout so that the hinge attaching bolts were painted black or was the hood done separately and attached by 4 black oxide/phosphate bolts? Thanks for your help.

Hood was attached for both body color and blackout.

I went to that picture just after I posted the question. It is a little hard to determine from that if the bolts were painted with the blackout or if they were black oxide and put in after. Mine were painted with the hinge but I wanted to be sure.

Jeff -

They were phosphated; I'm not aware of any black oxide bolts on C2/C3 Corvettes - that finish was VERY expen$ive.
