    Overflow tank attachment 62

I removed the overflow tank from our 62. The bracket that holds it is attached to the left exhaust header. The bracket has two rounded "arms" to support the tank.

On mine, it only attaches to the forward one.

I've looked at some pictures on-line and I looked at a very nice 62 at a show/cruise night on Saturday.

It only rests on the forward arm too.

So I guess this is correct.

So why did Chevy put two "arms" on the bracket?

Robert, my car (#29) has two mounts for the bracket. First picture shows the rear mount. The second/third picture show the front mount. Hard to get the front picture in confined area.

      Yes, just like mine.

but the question is, since the tank only rests on the front mount, why a rear mount?

        Robert--
Something on yours is incorrect. The lower mounts are not rounded, and the two holes in the mount line up perfectly with the two holes in the boss on the left-hand exhaust manifold. You might look at an on-line catalog and see if any of the supply houses have a picture.
