    Heater cut-out relay on a 70

Should it have delco-Remy on the top? Or is this one correct? The manual says something about it being black.

Steve send Joe L. a PM he should be able to tell of the part number is correct for your car. It does look like a blower relay, sometimes the production parts are different than NOS, If the color of the housing is only different just paint it.

        Steve-----

GM #2072624 is a SERVICE relay for the application you mention. It is not the original relay which was GM #1115887. I do not know the configuration of the original relay but it could very well have had a black-painted cover with Delco-Remy embossment as that was one of the typical configurations for this type of relay during the period.

By the way, the GM #2072624 relay remains available from GM to this very day.

I've seen both plated and black on original cars. Usually I expect to see "Delco-Remy" in raised letters on the top.

            Steve,
Check the AIM for your year. If the '70 is the same as my '69 it is an 881 which has a black cover with the Delco raised lettering.
