    '68 Heater Housing

Under U69 in the assembly manual it shows a capacitor assembly. This assembly has some tape that binds the excess wire together. What kind of tape & what color is it?

Also, on the heater housing there is a clamp that holds the heater hoses to the housing. Does this clamp install with an open-end up or down?
    Thanks to all.

    Re: '68 Heater Housing

    Hi Brian,

I looked at my '68 and I do not have the tape in the AIM manual however if I did I would expect to see a black or real dark gray fiberous tape. The tape would look similar to woven cloth.

With your second question, my heater hoses have 2 clamps that hold them on my engine bay fender and the open ends are both in the up position. I have the L-36 motor in my '68. L-36 does not have an expansion tank.

    I hope this helps,
    Terry
