    1958 Restoration Questions

I am restoring a 1958 Corvette that will have a 245 HP, 283. It does not have a heater. What kind of plugs are in the water pump and aluminum intake manifold? Square head steel or ...? This is an early car assembled in mid November.

And where can I get the most original looking carburetor tags?

Hi Dennis, I do know that if a 58 is/was an Fi car with heater delete there were various plugs used in the aluminum intake. I discussed this with Tim Mickey and he and I both agreed that there is no really one correct plug. Whatever was available they grabbed. Square head with various logos.(or no logo at all) Zincad plated steel plug.
I don't know about the water pump plug or who makes the best carb tag.
