70 wiper are trans and vacuum valve

I am getting ready to put the wiper door back on and the mechanism opens and closes as it should. It seems as thou all systems are go

Should the wiper arm transmission be hitting the valve with each rotation and if so why?


Mine does hit the valve.

Mine does. The only explaination I could offer isthat some of the tolerances on these cars were not the best right from the factory.
