    c1 speed bleeders

Does Anyone Know What Speed Bleeders Are? Think They Are Referring To Brake Bleeders. What Is Correct And Is Are They Available?

Probably referring to something like a Mityvac vacuum brake bleeder, MV8000 (hand pump) or a $174 compressed air brake bleeder.

I Looked At Corvette Centrals Parts Catalog And They Actually Have Bleeders Valves For The Wheel Cylinders That Are Called "speed Bleeders". I Just Ordered The Correct Bleeder Valves. Thanks !

You can buy them at most auto parts stores.. They look just like normal bleeders but it turns a 2 person job into a one person job. I've used them on my 67 and 68. Great product.

Don, they have an internal check-valve. As Jim said it turn a two person job into a one person job. Just loosen and start bleeding. When done, tighten them up.

Very nice product...not sure if the original designer sold out or not. I had many conversations with him in the mid 1990's and he had a good reputation on the old 'listbots'. At the time, he would even send out the speed bleeders before payment...very trusting gentleman.

I believe their website is still using the animation I created back then...itz a cutaway of the check-valve system.

              Harry,

Think you meant to say. When done unscrew them a put in the regular bleeders. The concept is to allow brake fluid to squirt out but not pull air back into the system. Screw them in, bleed the brakes and remove them until needed another day.

Nope. Once bled, you just tighten them like a regular bleeder and they're ready the next time you want to bleed/flush your brake system.

Thanks for straightening me out! I notice the bleed hole on the side. But why would you leave the wrong bleeder in the caliper? Don't think they will pass the strict judging standards of NCRS being plated.

                  Thanks again,

                  Joe
