What car does this jack go to?

I have this jack. I do not know if it's corvette related or passenger car. Don't know a year time frame either. Does anyone know?

It's, of course, missing its jack screw and other parts but it looks to me like a GM #3958710 used for Corvettes from 1969 until POSSIBLY 1979.

It also looks like it might take a lot of work to make it functional -- not to mention the missing parts Joe cites.

A stamped in the top "shoe"?

A date code on the lower link opposite the threaded block? Hold the jack witht he threaded block at your left hand and look at the lower link at your right hand. It might take some abrasive action to remove the corrosion.

David ! I gave you bad feedback in my first reply. My error. After examining my 71 coupe jack it does appear to be a C3 type unit. Sorry to post the bad info !
