cast date versus engine assembly lag time

On a 67 big block, would a 3 month lag time between block cast date and engine assembly date on stamp pad be an indication of a likely restamp, or is that a "within the window" situation that has been often observed? thanks

On my 67 427/435 the eng. casting date is 1 Apr 67 and the eng pad date is 06 June 67 with a body build date 23 June 67. From what I have seen 3 months, give or take a few day's, seems to be the norm. That is just my observation.
