Lower B pillar repair - 1965

What's involved in making this repair ?

I pulled my coupe body over the weekend and I now want to understand what is involved in making this repair.

The rocker channel looks fine but the B pillar is rusted badly where the # 3 body mount is.

I ended up removing the rocker and B pillar covers and welding new sections to the rocker channels on mine. Both sides were rusted away. Maybe there are easier ways to do it, but thats what I did.

Do you think I can make this repair if I did not want to touch any surfaces now painted body color ?

I am OK if it is just the wheel wells (blacked-out) or anything under the headliner or carpet.

That B pillar cover is in the wheel well and comes out by removing some rivets, right ? That should give me full access to the B pillar, right ?

I was told it is welded in on 3 sides which I assume can be done by just removing the B pillar cover and not having to disturb the body.

That pillar cover is glued to the quarter panel. There isn't much access to it, maybe someone else like Wayne W will chime in.
