Alternator source

I hate to ask this, but is Ken Bruno from kenbrunosports reputable? I've seen horror stories from the unmentionable guy from Chicago who also has dated alternators.

Ken has a date 950 alternator for me so I wanted to know before I commit.

Ken is certainly reputable. He's done about 30 alternators for me. I wouldn't send them anywhere else.

FWIW, I bought one from him approx 5 years ago. I got dinged during flight judging for NTFP stator color and Ken fixed it for me at no cost.

There are other good alternator vendors out there too. Availalbility/timing took me to Ken. Service and his business ethic would have me go there again.

Ken had a 1100543 42A RG for me after a long search. It looks and works like new.

Mine was painted black, judges were looking for a transparent caramel color. I didn't/don't see anything in the JG that describes expected color. I mentioned it to Ken when I saw him at Carlisle and he told me to send it back so he could fix it, which I/he did. I'm happy...
