    Powerglide not leaking anymore!!

    Hi
...and yes there is still oil in it
I talked with David Edwards#4632 and he said to me " instead of only change the front seal then try to change the O-ring in the Torque Converter" and these two parts was enough to seal it.
For the first time I have a no leaking C1

    Regards Jorn

    Re: Powerglide not leaking anymore!!

Mine was dumping out a lot of oil after a drive. Roy Bratz (I know, I know) invited me to bring the 55 down and he showed me how to fix the problem.

We put it up on his lift and when we had the PG out on the bench showed me what makes them leak. There is 2 main bushings in the front and rear. When they wear out the shaft puts presure on the valve body and destroys the inside surface letting oil drain back from the converter into the main housing then out to your floor. Only recourse is to replace the valve body and bushings. (there is a guy in LA that sells them)

Drove the car home (120 mile) didn't leak a drop. Thanks Roy.
