    Heater Hose Nipple

On a 1970 350/350 is the waterpump nipple from the heater hose painted or natural?

Les I know my 350/300 is natural, and I would think yours would be natural too.

      Les-----

It was installed at St. Louis and should have received no paint. Therefore, it should be zinc plated and free of paint.

Curiously, 1970 was the last year that the heater hose nipple on the waterpump was installed at St. Louis. For 1971 and beyond, it was installed at the engine plants and probably received some amount of paint coverage when the engine was painted. How much coverage? I don't know.

Curiously, the manifold-mounted heater hose nipple continued to be installed at St. Louis at least through 1979.
