Corvette enthusiast Wesley Huffman Passed away RIP

Many of us in the southeast (and the entire US) remember Wesley Huffman of American Corvette in Powder Springs, GA.

He passed away in his sleep on Monday evening at the early age of 67. He was the source of information and parts as I was starting out restoring C1 and C2 Corvettes. He sold and repaired hundreds if not thousands of Corvettes in the past 30 years.

Jim Bresner and his two sons Brent & Brandon bought Wesley's interest in the late 80's. The good workmanship and service continues to this day!

Wesley's wife Shirley, their kids and 10 grand children will miss him dearly.

Wesley was my friend of over 30 years. We traveled together to many a show at Bloomington, Corvettes of Carlisle, Corvette Expo, Moultrie, Turkey Rod Run, etc. I will miss him...

I think that the Corvette world is a better place having had Wesley Huffman helping out Corvette owners everywhere.

Wes was a fixture at all the early meets that I attended. He and Wendell Campbell always were together. Sometimes one or both of the Coopers would be with them. Knew where all the deals were and the bodies were buried.

    RIP old friend

Sorry to hear about Wesley. Had many a good laugh with Wesley and consumed a few steaks during Knoxville Corvette Expo.

Wesley was a great guy with knowledge to share about Corvettes.

      We will miss him!

I bought a fair number of parts from Wesley over the years and always thought a lot of him. In the 80's he helped me rescue my 4066 original mile 63 fuelie conv. which was being held hostage by a guy here who for whatever reason didn't want me to have it although I'd chased it for years. (still sittin' in my storage, still with 4066. miles) Wesley bought it one day and sold it to me the next, mostly because he thought I oughta' have it since it was a local car. Anyway, he was a REAL Corvette guy who loved the hobby for what it should be. I haven't talked to him in at least 10 yrs, maybe longer, but it's sad to know that he's gone.
