C-1 Headlights

What is every ones opinion on headlights for 1960 VN 808? Most say the unique 1960 style and some say 58-59 style. Thanks in advance.

Not exactly sure what you. What part of 1960 headlights are you talking about? Maybe I am just dense today.

If you are talking about the headlight bulbs, go to Lectric Limited's site. They have configuration for the years. They show slightly different bulbs for 58-59 than for 60.

Jerry, My 1960, 3198 that I purchased from the original owner in 1989 still had all four of it's original 58-59 style headlamps with GUIDE above the triangle. This car had been in storage since 1973, and still had its original 3/59 dated fan belt and hoses so I'm pretty sure no one had gone back looking for 58-59 style headlamps to replace one that had burned out. Did I receive deducts on the headlamps on the way to a Duntov? Yes. Does it still have its original headlamps today? Yes. Winter 1991 and Winter 1992 Restorer articles cover the acquisition and restoration of this great old fuelie. We went for a ride two days ago since Winter finally ended here in the mountains of Colorado.

My 1960, car #1651 has two original T-3s (high beams) and they have the "Guide" above the T-3 as the 1959 bulbs did. Not sure what car # the T-3 bulb change was made to the 1960 version.
