64 steering damper holes on SHP

    64 steering damper holes on SHP

    are there steering damper mounting holes on the frame w/ SHP config? I know SHP doesn't have steering damper due to oil pan size.

      The holes were present in all frames - they were pierced in the rail section when it was stamped at the A.O. Smith frame plant.

          The holes are always there, but they are not tapped or ( don't show signs of bolts on a SHP car. )

              ...and all cars had provisions for the steering shock absorber on the relay rod even though they were unused on small blocks with 6 quart system and all big blocks.
