I'm trying to pre-fit my fender and door cove exterior moldings. the AIM, page 11-13, sht. 2, view-C, shows a large flat washer # 3723267 against the body but gives no description of what the washer material is. I also check the 1961 Trim Identification Chart which shows part #3662988 for the same washer but still no material description. I have all the "T" bolts, steel washers, nuts and retainers. If someone could identify the flat washer material or ware i could buy the washers i would very much appreciate it.

Re: exterior molding hardware
Did you ever identify the washer? I have the same issue with 1960. It's section 11-13 sheet 4.00 in the 60 AIM. The AIM shows 5 locations that this washer should be used on each side of the car. But I haven't found it listed anywhere.

Re: exterior molding hardware
Rubber (Neoprene) washer to keep it water tight, should be approx 10 or 12 locations...... Lowes has them there in the special hardware boxes at store. Its under the "CrownBolt" washer #4.0 5/32" although it is a bit too small, use next size up from this one #5 or #6 or use the largest steel roofing washer with bonded steel washer alwready on it (thats what I should have done but too late)- Top
