C3 exhaust the judges will like?

I need a complete exhaust system now, while I try to source NOS parts for the future. So, who makes the best replacement system that will be the most judge friendly for a '75? Allen's stops at '74 and then only offers hideaway mufflers and Gardner stops at '73. Corvette Central makes the whole thing, execpt cat, including the more correct round-type mufflers. Any source will be helpful.

    Thanks,

In some cases NOS may not be any better than repo such as NOS mufflers will have the clamp joint instead of being one piece from the center cross member to the back of the muffler. Also NOS mufflers will have part numbers etc on them.

I'd just get the CC system and be happy. I've installed them on a few cars and had zero problems (71, 72). In addition, the deductions for originality are about 50% and I could live with that.

You may still want to look for an original system but I would not hesitate to buy one of these for now, if not for good.

        Russ & Patrick,

Thanks for your reply and great advice. I'll call CC tomorrow.

I agree with Patrick. I've judged a CC on a 78 and was impressed. In fact, I've got to do something with another 78 I've got and will pick up the CC mufflers if I don't find originals.
