I am struggling with these doors on my '67 convertible and looking for some advice. I installed the vent window frames to finish fitting the doors to the car and found that the windows do not fit very well. The PO had sandblasted the car destroying a lot of the panels and any factory filler on these doors was blasted away. There as traces of filler on the front door edges but not much left. I am looking for some closeup photos that show how the contour of the door should correctly flow into the vent widow frame to use as reference. As you can see the passenger side isn't too bad when compared to the driver's side, but I don't think its correct yet, and this is keeping a 1/4" gap between the windshield frame and the vent window frame.
I measured the distances from the door's front edge to the inside of the door and the passenger door is longer. Enough so to account for the amount of window sticking out on the driver's side. About the same amount I need to possibly trim from the driver's side upper surround to properly mate with the windshield trim.
It would be great to hear from some guys who have experience doing this before. If you have some good photos and its easier to email them, please send to: marzahl@clearwire.net
TIA,
Scott
