    1967 powerglide

    Trying to adjust the kick down linkage on my trans. The aim is to confusing for me, any helpful hints?

    Bill, I will take a stab at it. In the 66 chassis service manual under throttle valve linkage adjustment (I am assumeing that is GM's name for the kick down) it says: With accelerator pedal depressed, bell crank on L-4 and L-6 models or carburator lever on V8 models must be at wide open throttle position.
    Dash lever must be 1/64-1/16 inch off lever stop and transmission lever must be against transmission internal stop. Hope this helps.

      There's a simplified kickdown linkage adjustment procedure on page 7-30 of the 1967 Chassis Service Manual.
