C1 1958-1962 Spark Plug shields..NOT Shielding

Do the spark plug shields/covers have any special markings or letters on them? How do you determine the difference between the repros. and the originals? Once again, I am not talking about the ignition shielding. Thanks

I believe the originals were chromed stamped steel and the repros are stainless.

I believe both are plated stamped steel. The good repros, to my way of thinking, are undetectable from the originals. I'll check my originals to see if there is any type of manufacturer's ID on them--don't remember ever seeing any.
At one point there were some repros floating around that didn't duplicate the stamped-in ridges correctly--they were too short and not the right profile, but I haven't seen any of those for a while.
Justin--I never got any further info from you on the two 2x4 RPO brake cars. Let me know further info on them if you don't mind.
