Are the grommets for a base 70 300 hp the completely round ones? They look like it. Looks like the angled ones are for 71 maybe late 70. Also wiper motor mount screws, zinc or black oxide?

Yes, my recollection is that the PCV grommets are the full round type. However, there were several different part numbers used for the full round type grommets over the 1968-71 period. At the moment, I do not know how they differ, but I'll try to look into it. It's very possible that very late 1970 used the 1971 style grommet. These grommets are round on one side, "flat" on one side, and "flat" on the top.
The wiper motor mount screws are black phosphate. And, I think the nuts are also black phosphate.Last edited by Joe L.; June 2, 2011, 10:56 PM. Reason: add additional info regarding late 1970 grommet usageIn Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
