You can expand your potential search base by asking for all left and right 2_1/2" manifolds that were the same as those used on the '65 L84; ie left hand for L84 cast #3797942 is same as RH on L75 manual trans C60, and all L79 & L76 air cars.

And the RH manifold #3797902 for L84 is the same as the RH on L75 (manual) and L79 and L76 [all w/o C60].

Here's a pic of my L76 w/air RH manifold; same as used on the fuel inj. left hand.

If I'm not mistaken there is a carb and a fuel injection version of the ...902 right-hand manifold with the difference being the existence of a choke tube hole on the carb version or no hole on the FI version.

The ..902 is also the right manifold on the '64 L-84 which I have on my car. I'd have to check on the left manifold but they are probably the same in both years. I also think there may have been 2 versions of the left manifold, one with alternator or maybe AC compressor bracket mount and one without.

The drivers side exhaust manifold is readily available at the big shows like Corvette Carlisle since it started off life as a passenger car part. I would say that $350.00 is all the money on that part.
Now the RH manifold is very rare and drying up. RH fits 62 to 65 and is not dated. Plan B is to look for a carb one and have the two holes welded up.

Hi George,
The Adams book indicates p/n 3797902 for the right side and 3797942 for the left sides of a '65 L-84. These are the same part numbers as used on the '64 L-84. As mentioned above there are 2 versions of the 902 manifold, one for the carburated engines that have a hole in the upper boss for the choke tube, and one for the FI engines without the hole since the FI choke tube attaches to the left manifold.
Here is a photo of the 902 manifold with the choke tube hole (lower of the 2 manifolds), and also a 902 manifold mounted on my FI engine without the hole. The correct 902 manifolds without choke tube hole are very difficult to find and expensive if you do. As reported by John, many people will weld the hole closed followed by painting the manifold engine color.

These are original to a Mar64 FI car. The Dr is drivers side, the Pass is passenger side. First two are driver's side.
