Reconditioned Windshield
I just drove my '64 coupe to the body shop for a paint job. As part of the process, I'm having the bumpers re-chromed, the door handles replaced and all of the weatherstripping changed. I'd like to put in a new windshield while this work is being done but a new, dated, one runs almost $500. Additionally, there is app. a $150 shipping charge. My current one has one minor scratch in it. Does anybody have any experience with a reconditioned windshield? I remember reading a long time ago that distortion might be an issue.
