Powerglide leaks

Hi
I have just put on new seals in front and rear in my powerglide but it still leaks
I have seen in Passenger Car Shop Manual on page 13-11 fig.20 that there are no seal between Pump and Cover! is that right?
Could it be there it leaks?

My '61 cast iron powerglide "seeps" fluid, probably a pint every two months. Seepage is worst when the car is parked and cold rather than during use. I have replaced every seal at least once and have not been able to completely stop the seepage. Wish I could, as I don't leak any other fluids.
Knowledgable rebuilders won't even guarantee a dry cast iron PG.
Keep an eye on the fluid and add a bit when required.

I know they are leaking these Powerglides but its only a shaft that goes into a hole with this special sealing and I wonder why its so diff. to seal such system, i think; see my auto-lift it has also the same sealing"system" and its not leaking.
You can't visit your friends without dripping oil on their driveway and so
Its frustrating.
