C-1 Wheel Cylinders

Noticed 59 and 60 front wheel cylinders have a different part number, what is the difference? What are the correct numbers for front and rear for 59 and 60? Thanks in advance.

649 for rears for all. 60-62 fronts (standard) are 528 and 529---58-59 are 821 and 822. The size of the bore changed, hence the part number changed. (and with the bore change, the percent of braking front/rear changed.) Part nos. are off the top of my head--sorry I can't give you the first 4 digits.)

The larger, 1-3/16" front wheel cylinders will definitely improve the illusion that your '57 brakes will stop it.

More seriously, yes, it's a worthwhile change and I recommend it. The effective pedal effort will be noticeably reduced.
