    1957 Steering wheel

Hello, Can anyone recommend a source or vendor for the best reproduction steering wheel for a 1957 with beige interior? Is it possible that someone knows a source for an origional in excellent or restored condition? Also, can anyone recommend a vendor for an origional Eaton non-vented gas cap for the same car? Thank you in advance for any and all help. John

Hi John, I just got a very nice original cap from David Sokowalski and I believe he had a few more, even if not perfect it can be restored.
Also interested in your steering wheel question as I am in the same boat, restore mine for $$$ or buy a repro for $$. According to David Crane of Crane's Corvettes his repro is excellent, but have not seen one as yet.

In the past I sold reproduction C1 steering wheels manufactured by Vettemasters in Virginia Beach, VA.
Thier quality was excellent and the beige steering wheels were a good color and did not turn yellow like some of the older reproductions.
They are sold by some of the larger Corvette parts suppliers.
They also sell on Ebay, here is one of thier listings for a blem or second.
Contact him ( Tom) for more info.

I have 1 Venetian Red wheel left if anyone is interested.

Make sure when you buy a steering wheel that it conforms to the 56-7 Judging Manual steering wheel description. Later steering wheels differ.

For an original, you might try Joe Calcagno at RARE Corvettes in CA. (rarecorvettes@gmail.com). He had a few the last time I was at his place but regrettably I don't recall the colors. Tell him I sent you. He's a great guy. I am restoring a 57 now and he has been great! Susan
